West Bank Arts Quarter Events

Over 160,000 people attend countless events in the West Bank Arts Quarter each year. The School of Music alone presents more than 300 student recitals, in addition to its innovative opera productions, orchestra and choral offerings and the Interplay choral series that has presented the likes of Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Chanticleer and others. University Theatre presents a five show season each year and the Katherine E. Nash Gallery presents work by local, national and international artists. Each year the Dance Program presents work performed by its students and created by such luminaries and innovators as Merce Cunningham, Paul Taylor, Bill T. Jones, Susan Marshall, Doug Varone and Jawole Willa Jo Zollar.

As the West Bank Arts Quarter grows, more interdisciplinary events happen each year. The Spark Festival for Electronic Music and Art, started in 2003, continues to grow and attract the most innovative artists in the worlds of electronic and computer-generated art and music. The student-run Xperimental Theatre further embraces collaborative theatrical productions with each passing season.
